The units contain special algorithms which cancel background traffic noise, cancels out the echo that is prevalent in the cheaper & lesser known brands.Portable Bluetooth Car kit ($80 - $170)Not only would I would recommend the Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset but I think it should be the first thing you should buy after buying a phone. That being said, it does require that you position the headset in the right manner on your ear while touching your cheek. Fail to position it correctly can cause static or distortion! Jawbone's Noise Assassin is able to achieve this while other headsets cannot.The most advanced kit like the Parrot Mki9200 contain all the noise and echo cancellation technologies that the better portable kits have, Text to Speech (TTS) technology AND it has a full colour display to view contacts and select music from the driver�s mobile device to be played through the car stereo.Portable Stereo Headset (Free with Phone - $40)
Whilst this is the most expensive option, it is by far the most technologically advanced option.
